After pictures were done it was time to head to the courthouse and get this couple married! This was my courthouse wedding. I learned a few things during this process that if you are a photographer would be good to know.
1. the courthouse only allows 10 people in the ceremony room AND they are very stickler about that. One of the guests attending had a baby and the baby counted as a guest. We plead our case but in the end they did not budge on that rule.
2. During the ceremony you will be shooting through plexi glass! The room is set up with an arch on the wall and chairs for the guests. In front of the arch where the couple stands is a large piece of plexi glass. This is a COVID 19 precaution that allows the bride and groom to remove their mask safely. It was not ideal for a wedding photographer though, but we made it work.
Molly and Dwight read their own vows. There wasn't a dry eye in the room! It was just a honest and emotional moment for everyone. The amount of love that was in that room was palpable!
After the ceremony we headed outside for a few more shots of the bride and room before making our way to the reception venue!
The day ended at Drake's The Barn in Sacramento. It was the perfect place to celebrate a very special day with all of Molly and Dwight's friends and family!
